Tazanna Epps

Tazanna Epps, MS, earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from West Virginia University and holds dual bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Sociology. She currently provides counseling services under clinical supervision while working toward independent licensure.

Tazanna has experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults and is passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges in a supportive and empowering environment. She strives to create a warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative space where clients feel heard, understood, and valued.

Throughout her training, Tazanna provided counseling services in both community-based and private practice settings, supporting clients experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem challenges, relationship difficulties, stress, and life transitions. As a Black counselor, she is passionate about increasing access to culturally responsive mental health care and fostering spaces where clients can show up authentically and feel genuinely understood. She has a particular interest in working with adolescents, young adults, and members of the Black community.

Tazanna's approach to counseling is grounded in the belief that healing and growth often occur through authentic connection and supportive relationships. She values building a strong therapeutic alliance and works collaboratively with clients to explore challenges, recognize strengths, and create meaningful change. Her work is informed by relational and trauma-responsive perspectives, with an emphasis on resilience, self-understanding, and personal empowerment.
